Garden Fresh Salsa Recipe

Our garden has been rocking this year. We had so many tomatoes piled up in our kitchen, we literally couldn’t eat them fast enough! Then, an idea struck me. Why not make a garden fresh salsa recipe with our tomatoes, peppers and fresh herbs? So, that’s what I did!

Garden Fresh Salsa

Believe it or not, this recipe was pretty simple to prepare. It turned out great too! I’ve never had such a fresh, delicious salsa in my life. I hope you enjoy this Garden Fresh Salsa Recipe as much as my family did. Gathering up our tomatoes to make it again!

Ingredients:

  • 16-20 Ripe Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Vidalia Onion
  • 1/2 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Lime (juiced)
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 Jalepeno Pepper
  • 1/2 Chile Pepper
  • 1-2 Cloves Garlic (minced)

  • Slice Jalepeno and Chile pepper in half and remove the seeds and white innards (this takes down the heat, if you like it spicy keep the seeds)

Garden Fresh Salsa

  • Place chopped veggies, lime juice, cilantro, spices and sugar into food processor
  • Pulse 10 times until ingredients are well combined
  • Pour mixture through strainer to strain off excess liquid (optional, this creates a thicker salsa)

Garden Fresh Salsa

  • Pour into a serving dish with tortilla chips for dipping
  • Enjoy!

  1. Wow Nicole your salsa looks amazing! Great directions and pics, I will have to try this out; my daughter has been on a “salsa quest” she is trying to find a salsa that is as good as the one from her fave Mexican restaurant. 😀
