Garden Fresh Kale

I was always a little intimidated by kale, because it’s not something I had eaten often. Although I was a little intimidated, the health benefits of kale are quite impressive.¬†One cup of chopped kale has only about 30 calories is high in calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and a vitamin K. It is also a good source of copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus. The health benefits can’t be ignored, so we decided to give kale a try. You should give it a try with this easy kale recipe too!

My husband and I decided to grow kale in our garden. It’s actually quite easy to grow, and even easier to prepare. It makes a delicious side dish, even my kids wanted to eat is at dinner time. How incredible is that?!

Here’s a super easy recipe for sauteed kale.

Ingredients:

  • 3- 4 cups Garden Fresh (or store bought) kale
  • 2-3 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • Sea Salt (to taste)
  • Mrs. Dash original seasoning (to taste)

Preparation:

  • Wash kale
  • Heat Olive Oil in saute pan over medium heat
  • Add minced garlic and saute for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant
  • Add kale, water, salt and Mrs. Dash
  • Saute in pan until kale is wilted

Then enjoy it as a side dish. It’s that simple, and I promise it’s delicious. Would love to get feedback on this recipe. We look forward to hearing from you. What do you grow in your garden? Would you like recipe ideas for something specific? We can help!
