World Rainforest Week October 2015

This week is World Rainforest Week October 2015! From October 12-18th companies and people from around the world are taking action to protect our endangered rainforests. Many tropical forests around the world are being hurt by unsustainable logging practices, climate change and growing agricultural business. It’s up to consumers and manufacturers to treat Mother Earth with kindness and respect for generations to come.

What Are You Doing to Honor World Rainforest Week?

I’m excited to bring awareness to this important movement! In honor of World Rainforest Week October 2015, I’ve teamed up with Seattle Chocolates to bring awareness to the preservation of our precious rainforests around the world.

About Seattle Chocolates

Seattle Chocolates is a company with a big heart.  They’ve been using Rainforest Alliance Certifiedβ„’ cocoa in their chocolate since April 2014. Rainforest Alliance certification confirms that their chocolates are made using fair labor practices and proper planet preservation. These processes better the economic situations for cocoa farmers and their families while treating Mother Nature with kindness and respect. Learn more about how Seattle Chocolates protects rainforests.

Seattle Chocoloates

Did you know only 10% of the world’s cocoa is Rainforest Alliance Certifiedβ„’? That’s a shocking number. It’s about time we, as consumers, take a step back and look at where our chocolate is coming from and what impact it has on our planet. By choosing to support companies like Seattle Chocolates, you’re doing a great service to the Earth and the hard working cocoa farmers who deserve a fair wage.

World Rainforest Week Giveaway

I’m excited to be working with Seattle Chocolates to bring awareness to World Rainforest Week. It’s up to companies and consumers like us to make the world a better place. We’re saving the world, one chocolate bar at a time! πŸ˜‰ Not only does Seattle Chocolates support protecting the rainforests, they also give back to hungry families here in the US. Learn more about how Seattle Chocolates works to fight against hunger by raising awareness and donating to local food banks.

  6. Hi Nicole,

Good to know that there are people and companies that are doing their best to protect our planet and its resources. In my country India too we have a rain forest known as Sundar Van ( van is the Hindi name for forest ) and Sundar means beautiful. The beauty of that rain forest and of the animals living there is incredible which give rise to hunting and other activities. Although government tries its best to preserve them but their is still a lot of work to do.

At the end of my comment, I’ll just ask, how was the taste of chocolates that you got from Seattle’s as giveaways.

    Thanks,
    Bharat
