Make your Garden “GREEN” with Togetherfarm Blocks.

Planting and tending a garden with my family is more than just growing food, it’s about bonding and spending quality time together. I’m always on the lookout for new gardening techniques and products to enhance our home gardening experience. I was recently contacted by a company who introduced me to a new product that I’m really excited about!

The product is Togetherfarm Blocks and I believe these little blocks will revolutionize home gardening!

What are Togetherfarm Blocks?

Togetherfarm Blocks were created to help the average home gardener set-up a raised garden bed quickly and efficiently. They look like large Lego blocks, which my kids were really excited about! These blocks are an alternative to standard wooden raised garden beds.

Togetherfarm Blocks, The “Green” alternative

Togetherfarm Blocks

Togetherfarm Blocks are Made in the USA!

The most common option for designing a raised garden bed is wooden logs. While this may seem safe, some of the raised garden bed wood is chemically treated to prevent rot. These chemicals can seep into garden soil and your plants. That’s just one of the reasons Togetherfarm Blocks are a better alternative.

Togetherfarm blocks are made from food-grade recycled plastic. That means they’re safe for your garden. They’re also an environmentally sound product and they’re made in the USA!

My Togetherfarm Blocks Experience

I received a 12” X 12” garden bed kit from Togetherfarm to do this product review. I was so excited when the package finally arrived! The blocks are very sturdy and well-made.

Togetherfarm Blocks Build Like Legos

The Togetherfarm Blocks came with step-by-step instructions for building my 12”X12” raised garden bed. The blocks simply snap together like Legos. I was able to build the block system in just a few short minutes. If you can build a Lego kit with your children, you can build a Togetherfarm Blocks raised garden bed. It’s really easy!

  1. Very interesting…I’ve been looking for some sort of system to put into a small space in the corner of our yard, but haven’t had much luck because most of what I’ve seen will take up much more room than I would like. This might be the solution, I will certainly be investigating. Thank you for sharing.

  5. I thought of this idea to build a small, easy to move doghouse, but couldn’t figure out a way to build a sturdy block – just happened to run across these in gardening sites and couldn’t believe someone was actually producing these blocks – never dreamed the blocks could be found for making raised garden beds (which I would love since hard for me to bend and stoop in low gardens) – can’t wait til spring to give them a try in gardening and lots of other ways!

  6. What a great idea! In my previous yard, I built two grow boxes. They were a lot of work and not as budget friendly as I would have liked. When we purchase a new home in a few months, I’ll have to consider these blocks. I wonder how much they cost.

    • These are great Kerry because they are made of material that will last for a very long time. They’re more pricey than wooden garden beds, but safer and longer lasting so it’s really a great investment!

  7. OMG! I think I am in LOVE with these!!! My girls love the mega blocks and are always wanting to make a bed when I start the garden each year! I haven’t really been able to get anything locally that was safe for the soil (you mentioned the pre-treated ones). This would allow the girls to build their own garden beds and plant their own flowers just like mommy! LOVE THEM!!!!!!

  8. These are very cool – for those interested, here’s an alternative from http://www.everblocksystems.com – the blocks are somewhat larger 12″ x 6″ x 6″ and are a bit more like typical beams (6×6 or 10×10) used in a garden. They also have a finishing cap to give it a more organic look and hide the connector lugs. I prefer Brown or Black for garden applications but other colors can be fun too. Its a nice option for those that want a bigger dimensioned block, more color choices, or a finishing cap.
