This is my first time participating in the Blogger 2 Blogger event hosted by Southern Mess Mom. It’s a great opportunity to get to know other like-minded bloggers. I can’t wait to network and learn more about all of you. Here goes nothing!
Bloggers participating in this week’s Blogger 2 Blogger event submitted questions and we are supposed to give honest answers. Here’s what everyone came up with and my replies. Get to know me!
- If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose to be and why?
I would choose to be a dog.
A dog? Say What?! That’s right, I would choose to be a dog. Dog’s have the sweetest little souls and they always express their true feelings. They’re sensitive, sweet and loyal. They will stand by your side, no matter what! That’s what I call a true friend and a pure spirit. Make me a dog!
- What are some “silly” things you said, did or had happen to you during the exhausting few months after your baby/babies were born?
This is a no-brainer! My second child, Alexander was my “difficult” baby. He was born with a tongue-tie, colic, eczema, allergies and tummy troubles. He rarely slept, which meant I didn’t get much sleep either.
I was exhausted from lack of sleep for several months and I actually ran a red light! This wasn’t just any red light. There was a police officer sitting there and I actually thought I had the right of way! Cars were honking at me, I almost got hit and I was just yelling at them..completely confused. Now if that’s not a doozie, I don’t know what is!
- As moms we all go through sleepless nights, spit-up covered shirts and nappy hair while our newborn babies need 24/7 attention. What are some funny/silly things that happened during this time?
I cannot tell you the number of times I left the house with spit-up on my shoulder. It’s almost like you just get so used to having it on you, you don’t even bother changing clothes before you leave the house!
- What has your child done to make you laugh this week?
My 5 year old (Alexander) is a comedian in a little boy’s body. I fear he may become the class clown one day. Just last night he said to my husband, “Hey Daddy! You’re Buff.” He also said, “That’s the BOMB DOT COM!”
But this is the best! Back in October, as Halloween was approaching we asked “What do you want to be for Halloween?” He said “Hallo-WEEN” as he pulled his penis out and started swinging it around! Now that’s funny!
- What is the most embarrassing thing your kid has done in public?
Pulled down my shirt in the supermarket and said “BOOBIES”!
- If you could have a super power what would it be and why?
If I had a super-power, I would love to be able to multiply! If I was able to duplicate myself and create more “Me’s” that would be awesome!
My superhero name would be “Multiply Mom”.
Multiply Mom to the RESCUE! When faced with several things to do at once “Multiply Mom” can do them all. “Multiply Mom” would be at both kids football games, even when they’re at the same time. “Multiply Mom” could do laundry and grocery shop at the same time. The list goes on and on. Now admit it, you want to be “Multiply Mom” too! Admit it!
- If you could have any one toy what would it be? Why?
A toy, huh? Oh my! What kind of toy are we talking about? Because my mind just went all dirty on me. Maybe I shouldn’t answer this one. I will leave this to all the wholesome Moms’ out there. I shouldn’t talk about the toy I’d choose on a Mom’s Blog!
- If someone made a holiday dedicated to you, what would it be called? Why?
I don’t think anyone would want to dedicate a Holiday to me! Maybe I’m wrong. 😉 If you want to dedicate a holiday to me, please feel free!!
- What song best describes you? Why?
Dave Matthews Band “The Best of What’s Around”.
It’s such a great song about focusing on The Best of What’s Around. No matter what’s going on in your life, you have to make a conscious decision to make the best of things. You can’t control what happens around you. All you can control is your reaction to things and your thought process.
Just make “The Best of What’s Around”. That’s my motto. It makes life much more enjoyable, I promise! Give it a try. Take control of your actions/reactions to situations. Control your inner voice and you’ll find inner peace. Just make “The Best of What’s Around”!
- If you were a cartoon character who would you be? Why?
If I were a cartoon character I’d be “Dirtgirl” from Dirtgirl world. Now, after my comment about the toy, I’m sure you’re all thinking “whoa, this lady is CR-A-ZY!”
“Dirtgirl” is actually a popular cartoon character from an independent Australian artist. Dirtgirl teaches kids about gardening, getting dirty, composting and growing organic produce. She’s not a Princess, she’s a real “Dirtgirl”. Love it!
So those are my answers, love ’em or leave ’em. I hope you know me better now!
